Comparing lists and keeping only like items

Hello, Still trying to learn more about excel so I hope you can help with this new "problem" i'm having. I have two lists of names. One list I created the other I downloaded. I want to compare the two and only keep the names on the downloaded list that match my list. They may not be exact matches, some have middle name initials some do not. So I'm wondering if there is a function that will help me with that? I've used vlookup for similar situations but that won't work for this data because of the difference I think. I'll attach a example of my worksheet. I'd really appreciate any help you can give. Thanks
