I need a formula that will count occurrences in a row where the value of an element in the row is less than the value of an element in the column above it. I have tried countif and countifs but couldn't make them do what I need. See attachment (couldn't upload it). I will gladly email an attachment to anyone interested in helping. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Click at "Go Advanced" Button.
Then you'll see a Paperclip at main bar of message window.

I tried using the Paper Clip, but the file still wouldn't upload. Thanks anyway.
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

How big is the file, and what is the extension?
We ONLY need a small, representative sample of your date, not the whole file - just enough to show us what you are working with, and samples of your expected outcome
It's just a few lines of a single worksheet xlsx file. I tried attaching a screenshot (.png) to this reply, but that wouldn't upload either
