I need help with a Count Formula with multiple criteria.
This is a headcount report downloaded into excel from an old system.
What makes this challenging is that the headcount report is comprehensive (cumulative) so it will have duplicate names.
I need the formula to ignore duplicate names and other conditions.

will you have on occasion a name which has more than one active or more than one leaveNeed a formula that will couunt employees with the following conditions:
1. Count each unique name once, do not count duplicate names
if so which one would you count?
ie will one name have only have one leave or one active ....ergo be the unique line?

using a helper row to separate out the "unique"
this formula takes care of the 2 criteria

rest is countifs based on last date of month2. Count employees with "Active" status and Leave status
4. Ignore employees where in column E the first three letters are "8BF"
