Formula to add diferent mark ups based on origina price

    Hello,

I am looking for a formula that will select the appropriate mark up based on the purchase price I enter.

    Mark Up:
    <.49= 600%
    .49-.99= 550%
    1.00-1.99= 525%

I would like to be able to enter a price and have the formula select the mark up automatically. If I enter Widget A as having a price of $0.54, it will select the 550% mark up and apply it appropriately.

    Any ideas?

I believe this will work for you... =A1*LOOKUP(A1,{0.49,1,1.99},{6,5.5,5.25})

    Or this

    =INDEX({6,5.5,5.25},MATCH(A1,{0,0.49,1,1.99}))

    format column B as Percent

    Data Range
    A
    B
    1
    0.45
    600%
    2
    0.54
    550%
    3
    0.58
    550%
    4
    0.99
    550%
    5
    1.5
    525%
