Formulas not working in higher version, 2010 Version to 2013 version

    Hello Friends

I am facing a new issue that is i have 2 systems one is installed with 2010 Excel and another one is 2013 version.

The original file is created in 2010 version. If i am working in 2010 version it is working fine. But if i take the same file and if i am working in 2013 version then i found some of the formulas are not working after 2 to 3 save commands.

The example of formula not working is :
    =IFERROR(AGGREGATE(14,6,E$4:E$755/(H$4:H$755=K$3)/(I$4:I$755=L$3+1),COUNTIFS(H$4:H$755,K$3,I$4:I$755,L$3)-ROW(H2)+1),"")

Any suggestions to resolve this issue is welcome.

    thanks in advance

    thilag.

    Hi,

Would you explain what you mean by 'not working'? i.e. are you getting the wrong answer, no answer at all, an error message or what. And to enable us to test we need to see the actual workbook so please upload it.

    Hi

It does not shows any error message, it shows blank message. As per the formulas blank "" is also available but as per the values formula should populate the values. I preferred to update the file, but is is huge file. Because of memory i could not able to upload it. I simplied the file and memory reduced where formulas not working. Refer `AH' Sheet Cells `N3:N67' in the attached file.

    thanks

    Hi,

When I open in 2010 I don't see any results in N3 downwards.

Can yo explain exactly what you are wanting to calculate and what the results should be for a few of the column M dates?

This seems to me a compatibility issue. Your Excel 2013 is set up for compatibility with older version of excel. To change this follow directions below.

    1. Click the File tab to access Backstage view. Clicking the File tab. (.xlsx)
    2. Locate and select Convert command. Converting the workbook to the newest file type.
    3. The Save As dialog box will appear. ...

The workbook will be converted to the newest file type.

Re: Formulas not working in higher version, 2010 Version to 2013 version

I have no idea what is different between this book and the book that works... (because I can't see both books)

But, the formula in the book you posted in N3 and down is failing because NONE of the rows meet the criteria.
    This criteria here
    (I$4:I$755=L$3+1)

    L3 = 12
    12+1 = 13
    (I$4:I$755=13)

There are 0 values in I$4:I$755 that are equal to 13.

Remove that +1 and the formula returns a value (whether it's the correct value or not I can't say.)

N: this is a circular reference and may not evaluate to a result you expect
