    Working on an employee rotation

Hello, I am trying to design an Excel sheet that will cycle an employee rotation at the click of a button. Thanks to a post that I managed to find through a little Google-fu, I have managed to get a pretty good start. Here's my situation:

I work in a shipping warehouse that is comprised of only about 20 people, we work 3 separate shifts and typically have two positions, either loading trucks or driving a forklift, putting away pallets on our "by-pass". The rotation cycles 1 spot every day, and the top "Bypass Driver" position is considered the 1st position. I took the typical sheet that we manually input all of our information to and used it as my base. I've gotten it so that a spin button will cycle the date/day of the week and through the rotation 1 position at a time. The only problem I have is if I have an employee on vacation or call in, I need to have the rotation know, so it adjusts accordingly. For the sake of this rotation, we always need 2 employees under "Bypass Drivers" if one of these individuals were to be under the "Off" column, the bottom person on the "Loaders" section needs to be cycled over to the top "bypass driver" and the off employee needs to be taken out of the rotation.I was thinking I might be able to use a "=COUNTIF" to examine when a certain employee is under the "Off" column; which works for blanking out the employee's name, however their blank spot remains in the rotation. How can I get this rotation to remove the blank spaces and cycle over?! If I can get some help with just the 1st shift rotation (all 3 are on my template) I can figure out the rest. Attached is what I've worked up so far! Thanks for any help!

Re: Working on an employee rotation

    I gave it a shot:

Please ask any questions if you have em
I had some fun with this challenge, I've made it so you can change their names, their shifts, and their status (on/off).

Thus people can be moved around wherever. It will not take into account more than 7 people for Shift 1, and more than 6 for shifts 2 and 3. It will fill in if people are current off though so this is pretty useful.

Let me know what you think!
