formula to combine columns sum/index/match

Hello, Any help would be appreciated,

I have this formula in the second tab

it calls on a single column (AE1) in the ta decide summary tab that I manually calculated. I am wondering how to create the formula so that I dont have to make that extra column, but so that if it is a YES in the column AB (which will be in a different sheet but for now its in here), it just pulls out the number from column I?

I have attached a sheet below with the data/formula that I am working with.mou.xls mou.xls

And Sums all those numbers?

=SUMIF('TA Decide - Summary'!AB:AB,"YES",'TA Decide - Summary'!I:I)

can you explain exactly what you are trying to do here? As Bernie suggested, I think SUMIF() will do what you want
