Question Nesting 'AND' & 'OR' withing an IF Formula

    Afternoon,

Using the attached table I am looking for an 'IF' solution with 'And' & 'Or' nested to give the percentage.

Seem to be able to get the .4 and .2 values but having difficulty with the .3

i.e The target for Tata in Q1 is 40% and 30% in Q4. The Independent target for for Q1-Q3 is 20% and 30% for Q4.

I look forward to seeing the solution.

Where are the formulae that work? Are we expected to guess what they are and then adapt them for you? If so, explain where these values come from (explain the process) and tell us where you want them to appear.

You haven't actually explained what you're trying to achieve.

The below does not tell us much about the issue in hand.

If I understand correctly you want the target values (column Y) to be based on the chart at the top of the worksheet. Instead of using an IF formula, which would have to be changed in the event a target value was changed, consider using an index/match formula so that would make that change automatically. I modified the chart at the top of the page to include the full name of the vendor, so as to match the column U. Here is the formula:

The formula is applied in Column Z of this copy of your file.
    Copy of Steel Allocation Target.xlsx
BTW there was a space in cell N9 after "Q4", this caused my formula to malfunction until I got rid of the unneeded space, and may have been part of the problem with the IF formula.
Let me know if you have any questions.
