Row\Col A B C 2GC-0092 #3900 GC-0092 #3900 B2: =REPLACE(A2, 3, MID(A2, 3, 1) = "-", "-") 3GC-0114 #7500 GC-0114 #7500 4GC0120#6950 GC-0120#6950
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
Not working
It gives
GC- - 0092 #3900
GC-0114 #7500
GC-0120#6950
I want it to tackle those where there are no signs , and leave the cells intact where the sign exists
It worked fine for me..
Maybe you had the cell reference wrong, change the A2's to A1's ??
Find attached , getting double sign , where not required
There's a space before the hyphen in A1. A space is not a hyphen, so the formula inserts one.
Oh i get it now
Thank you very much everybody
You're welcome.
