    Index, match

    Hello,

I have a spread sheet, 2 worksheets at present.

I have a list of potential customers info in sheet 1 with everything from business name in column A to contact details in column B, all the way to column G.

Every cell column H has a drop down menu with 2 options, either yes, or no.

What I'm trying to achieve is simple, if the yes option is chosen, I'd like all information in that row to be displayed in sheet 2.

I'm doing this by using the following formula to count the yes'.

I'm then trying to index sheet 1 and match the info using the following formula:

Eveytime I try I get the popup asking me to update values.

I'm getting frustrated. Have I gone wrong somewhere?

What's stopping you from just Filtering column H on sheet1 and not having sheet2 in the first place?

I'm not sure what popup you are talking about and "everytime what?" Your formula looks good to me. Can you upload an example where you are having a problem? (Go Advanced>Manage Attachments)

Ahhh, I see. It's because you have 1 in single quotes. Is your tab called sheet 1 or sheet1? If it's the second, then you don't need the quotes. If it's the first, it should be around the entire thing 'sheet 1'!A2:A1000

    Does that fix your problem?
