Index/Match/Sumifs?

    Wink Index/Match/Sumifs?

    Hi

    I've attempted to use SUMIFS on the attached to select certain criteria to pull out a value. I don't think my approach is correct.

    From the 'Journal' worksheet, cell F16, I would like the formula to sum the relevant value from 'Projections' worksheet, based on the following criteria:

    'Journal' worksheet cell B6 to 'Projections' worksheet cell range C5:N5
    'Journal' worksheet cell A16 to 'Projections' worksheet cell range C6:N13

    Would appreciate if someone could take the time to advise me on this

    Do you mean B8, not B6??? You didn't show expected results; but is this what you wanted:
    =IFERROR(INDEX('Year Projections'!$C$6:$N$13,MATCH(Journal!$A16,'Year Projections'!$A$6:$A$13,0),MATCH(Journal!$B$8,'Year Projections'!$C$5:$N$5,0)),"")

    copy down as needed.

    Try in F16


    =SUMPRODUCT(('Year Projections'!$C$6:$N$12)*('Year Projections'!$C$5:$N$5=Journal!$B$8)*('Year Projections'!$A$6:$A$12=$A16))

    Or did you mean to include "Description" in the criteria?
