lookup name and return value in adjacent cell

Hi,

I can use vlookup normally, and have tried to use it for what I need, but this is really making me come up short.

Basically I am trying to achieve what I have so far manually written in the shaded cells on the right of my screen shot below.

Basically, in cell J10, I have the name "Barca" and in cells K, M, O, Q I want it to return what happened in their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th fixture.
I highlighted in the screen shot Barcas results and in cell E (Home result) and F (Away result). So, if Barca (as in this example) won, it would first look up the first Barca match, then once found, determined if home (by seeing that is in column A and then returning the value in column E, if away it returns the value in column F.
In G and H is the home goal difference and away goals respectively. The same principle will be used in cells L, N, P and R to fill in the Goal Difference part.

I am really hoping this is possible as eventually this spreadsheet could potentially run into the 1000's of matches played and have more than just 4 games for each team.
What I have shown you is just a snippet of what my work will be.
