Cannot get hours:minutes formula to do what I need.

Last week I set up a workbook listing hours worked (h:mm) in columns that could be totaled at the end of a column. Today I've gone in to add hours to the column and excel keeps changing them. Example: I've tried to type in 7:50 (7 hours, 50 minutes) and when I hit enter, it keeps converting to 12:00. It does this in every box. I have the formula set for custom > h:mm, which is what I want, but I don't understand why it keeps changing the number. It didn't do this last week. I checked the cells that I'd set up last week and now they all say the formula is time > 13:30. How can I make it keep the hours/minutes that I've entered?

I could not figure out how to fix this. I started a new workbook page and it seems to be working fine on this page. Not sure what I was doing wrong before, but I'm sure it was me!
