Novice here learning as I go along and would apreciate any help and assistance
I need to show an actual cost versus a budget cost in a 2013 excel spreadsheet as a percentage difference
£12,167 - Actual Cost
£16,000 - Budget Cost
I need to show the difference between the budget cost and theactual cost as a percentage
Would anyone be able to advise me the formula to use in the calculating cell?
£12,167 - Actual Cost
£16,000 - Budget Cost
=Actual Cost / Budget Cost - 76%
shows what % of the budget you are at
if you want to see the difference
(Budget Cost - Actual Cost ) / Budget Cost = 24%
