Question How to copy COUNTIFS formulas from one file to another w/o referencing the original file?

I have one Excel file that has COUNTIFS formulas. I want to copy them to another Excel file, but when I do, the formulas in the 2nd file reference the name of the first file.

How can I copy the formulas over exactly as they are?

    Try using Find/Replace

on the column you want to copy
    FindWhat: =
    ReplaceWith: #=
    Replace all

Now the formulas are just text strings, copy them to the other file
And reverse the Find/Replace on BOTH files

    FindWhat: #=
    ReplaceWith: =
    Replace All

You might try pasting the 1st formula from the formula bar into notepad, then copy and paste that into your 2nd file. That'll eliminate your file name reference.
    Let s know.
