Is there any way to automatically color code cells, based on formula outcome?

I have a formula to show me the days of a month, I was wondering if the same formula could be somewhat tweaked to make the days that turn out to be Saturdays and Sundays be a specific color then the blank Monday to Friday ones?

Is such a thing even possible? Or can you only do it manually?

    You need Conditional Formatting

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window (or use the paperclip icon).

As per your description, you may achieve this with the help of the Conditional Formatting.

Let's assume you have dates in column A starting from Row2 and in column B you have a formula to show the day's name for the corresponding dates in col. A, then select the whole column B and make a New Rule for conditional formatting using the formula given below and set the format as per your choice.
