COUNTIF for multiple options

Hi all,

Im looking for a way to count multiple options in my countif formula. Please see my example attached (as I cant explain it very well).


To count the amount of times people have selected beans, I use this formula:

I want to count the amount of times people have select beans and peas. I have tried this:

but it does not work, please help.

=SUM(SUMIFS(K6:K9,J6:J9,{"beans:","peas:"}))

Thank you to both, these both worked. I ended up using zbor's formula.

If I want excel to display which item is the most ordered, based on the quantity how would I do that?

I imagine it is an IF sum?

Above will return beans.
