New to Forum. Need help consoldating data.

    Hello,

New to the forum and looking for some help.

I have an Excel 2016 workbook. Page 1 has names and hire dates and will be main page for consolidating data. Other pages (12 total) in the workbook have names (most are the same as page 1 but some will need to be added) and weekly hours. I'm looking for a formula that will bring the hours over to the main page for the name as well as add missing names to page 1.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

What you're requesting sounds possible, but it's tough to be specific without... well, specifics. Are you able to post a sample workbook (Use: Go advanced > manage attachments)? Please be sure to change all names and sensitive data.

As the pages appear to be weekly figures why not have 12 weekly columns in the "Master sheet" and enter data directly?

    Good question.

The spreadsheet I posted is only a sampling of the actual data. Weekly hours yes but will eventually include all 52 weeks in the year. Each week actually has 115+ names and hours.

At this point I'm playing catch up and trying to avoid entering data manually.

See attached: I don't know if this is acceptable.

I changed Sheet names to "Week 1", "Week 2" etc

In you main sheet I had headings "Week 1", "Week 2" etc

Used this formula to get the data.

    =IFERROR(VLOOKUP($A4,INDIRECT("'" & G$2 & "'!A1:B115"),2,0),"")

Assumption is ALL employee names are present in the main sheet.

    Thank you.

Is there a way to add employees to the main sheet that are present on the week sheets but not on the main?

The easiest way is copy all names from all sheets to the Master then use "Data"==>"Remove Duplicates" to get a unique list.
