Find smallest value in range and return adjacent values

    Hi all
I've created a league table for a mini TT championship at our cycling club. That all works fine but I'd like to extract the best placed riders for each age/ability group.
What formula would I need which will read the points column (AH) and find the lowest value that corresponds to the riders group (AI). Then next to the list of groups in column AP I want it to display the name associated with that time.
For example from the data below Michael B would appear in row 2 as fastest U10, and so on.
Hope that makes sense. I have been trying index, match, offset, small, vlookup and crying, I can't get it to work

Re: Find smallest value in range and return adjacent values

So basically in (AM) I want to display the riders from the league table (AD)based on the minimum time (AE) and group (AF).
I only need the fastest rider from each group to display in column AM.
The range AM5:AM28 will show the fastest in each group, that's the idea.
