is it possible to have the info I type into A1 appear in B1 as a barcode ?

ive looked everywhere but its asking for downloads which at my place of work is blocked

Assuming you have the barcode font, just change column B to the correct font and have the cells reference column A (eg. =A1). I believe there are different ways to format Barcodes depending on type, the ones I use you need to have a * at the start and finish in order for it to scan.

You could try http://www.dafont.com/3of9-barcode.font. As mrshl9898 says, there are different barcodes but this is a common one.

I too have tried this, and the font does convert to a barcode, but after printing, my scanner doesn't recognize it. Do you know of a good Code 128 font that actually works?

Ask your scanner what kind of bar code it wants ....

It's a WASP scanner, and I went through the set-up protocols. It does read other barcodes, on asset tags as an example. It just does not recognize the 3OF9 font for some reason...

Hi

Don't forget to include asterisk before and after text being barcoded. Printing can be quite dependent on font size, sometimes two lines of barcode, 1 above the other can work. I can't think of anything else other than preserver with these options.
