adding hours from a timesheet

I am looking for help with the formula which will reference first the date, then the employee and return the total hours for that week

e.g. using the attached worksheet as the source data I would like a formula located in a different worksheet to give the hours for EMP 1 for the wk/end 24/07/16 the answer being 3

i have tried using the index, match, match function and also sum product function and can't quite get there, reached the limit of my know how....
