    Angry Vlookup/Index&Match Multiple List Returns

    Hi guys and girls

My first post of many no doubt

I have just got my first IPad and am shocked by some of the features missing compared to the full desktop version of excel such as multi layered sorting...

    Anyway,
I have a list of 16 names, each will either be 'group a' or 'group b'
On a separate sheet I need to list these names in their groups. Now a Vlookup works but only returns one value. I need all 8 names in each group to be listed

    Hope this makes sense

Can you use a pivot table?
This is EXACTLY what they are for.

    Ok great,

I've never come across pivot tables before, how do they work and what do I do to set up?

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
