can't figure out why result of my formula is "FALSE"

The formula in cell M2 is =IF(AND(OR(C2=39,C2=40,C2=53,C2=54,C2=61,C2=63),O2="USED GAME - UNLISTABLE",K2>9.99,K2<30),MROUND(K2/2/1.3,0.25)) and I can't figure out why it is yielding a "FALSE" result.

    Please help

Check column C that data is numeric not text.

If it is text correctly you need C2="39" .... etc

as best as I can tell if any of your variables are not in the ranges you'll get a false. So if C2 isn't in the list, e.g. 41, or K2 is less than 9.99, e.g. it is 9.98 or used game - unlistable is not there, any of these issues causes you a FALSE. You need an escape such as a ,"") at the end.

Difficult to be sure without seeing the actual workbook, but the first thing to check is that what you have in O2 actually is "USED GAME - UNLISTABLE" and that it doesn't have any extra spaces at the end.

If that checks out, could you upload a small sample from your workbook. To do this, click on the Go Advanced button then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Click on this and a new window will open allowing you to select and load a file.

Re: can't figure out why result of my formula is "FALSE"

    Hi gogamerscom,

It works for me, so I think in Cell O2 there are some spaces are something after the text. If I have any spaces in that cell so it doesn't specifically match "USED GAME - UNLISTABLE", it throws up a false. Otherwise it provides a value of 6.5 in "M2" per the formula.

    Hope that helps,

    Dan

It was the text vs number in column C. Thanks!
