Cannot work out points total of Store

Hello,

In tab1 on my spreadsheet I have the following:

DATA 1.JPG


and then in tab 2 I have this:

DATA2.JPG

I am trying to get column D in my second tab to add up the points for the store based on the information in column AA on tab 1, where the store name is matched.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Chris,

Try this in cell D3 and copy it down:

=SUMIF(Sheet1!F:F,B3,Sheet1!AA:AA)

NB - Change the sheet name as appropriate. If it has a space in, e.g. Sheet 1 then you will need to include apostrophes 'Sheet 1'!F:F

Also, on tab2 is there a way of automatically sorting this data based on the value in column D?

It wouldn't be automatic but you could use the RANK formula in column E to calculate the order and then sort the data descending.

Looking at your screenshot for tab 2 input the following in cell E3 and copy it down:

=RANK(D3,$D$3:$D$30,0)
