Keeping existing formatting in cells that are brought through to a data validated list

Hi there, I am trying to keep the colour formatting I have on data that is being bought through to another sheet in a workbook in a data validated list. Can anyone tell me how I can do this please.

If the colours are set up in the source data sheet using conditional formatting, then you should be able to use the same CF criteria in the destination sheet. If the colours are applied manually, however, then a formula will not be able to bring those colours across, as a formula can only return a result, not a format.
