hiii Experts.. What I want is =VLOOKUP(B421&CHAR(32),'[Salary Sept-16 for Cross Check.xlsx]Efficient -LLP'!$B$7:$N$23,13,FALSE)
or =VLOOKUP(B421&CHAR(160),'[Salary Sept-16 for Cross Check.xlsx]Efficient -LLP'!$B$7:$N$23,13,FALSE)
but both of above not working.... there are multiple spaces at the end of Vlookup vector...
What I want is highlighted in bold above

I believe It should be work, however if it is not working and you are putting Vlookup for Numbers retrieving, instead of Vlookup you can use Sumproduct function which can work after the closed book.
If you can share your files it would be easy to understand actual problem as Here it is working lyk charm
or Try to drag the formula till to the end see if any data is retrieving...
#N/A means that that perticula lookup value is not lookup vector
