Formula(s) needed for Tiered Commission structure

    Hello
Could you assist me with a formula(s) to do a tiered commission structure

    Tier 1 below 79.99% = 0% commission
    Tier 2 80% to 99.99% = 10% commission
    Tier 3 100% to 119.99% = 20% commission
    Tier 4 120% to 129.99% = 25% commission
    Tier 5 above 130% = 30% commission

Assume sales person A was given a target of $10,000 and he achieved $15,000. How can I use excel formula to help me calculate his commission?

What I am after is to type in the budget and the Auctual and the cell to tell me how much to pay them.

    Appreciate your help on this.

You can use Lookup without a range of cells.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Assuming the percentage to lookup is in cell A1

If however A1 is your target and B1 is achieved and you dont have a dedicated percentage cell then

Ok I have done the steps but I am stuck at the point where you enter in the Sales person budget and actual figures
and it gives you a $ value to pay. its like the last 2 steps are missing for this work sheet

Hi Charly6s and welcome to the forum.

To better understand and so that we can see the question in context it is best if you will upload a small sample Excel Workbook that best expresses what you are working with and what the expected outcomes are ... hand typed if necessary. Please be sure to desensitize the data.

You often get more response and faster solution if you do so ... and please no screen shots or pictures.

If you are not familiar with how to do this:

To attach a file to your post:

    1. click “Go Advanced” (next to Post Quick Reply – bottom right),
    2. scroll down until you see “Manage Attachments”, click that,
    3. click “Browse”.
    4. select your file(s)
    5. click “Upload”
    6. click “Close window”
    7. click “Submit Reply”
    8. The file name will appear at the bottom of your reply.
