Calculations based on date range lookup

Hi Gurus,
Wondering if you can give me some assistance with this one….

I have one data set (Days Worked) with date ranges and calculations to work out the number of days within that range.
I then have another data set which shows any time off.
I would like to perform a look up on the dates in the “Time Off” range, to see which range it falls in the “days worked” data, and remove the number of days not worked from that total. Hope that makes sense?
