    totaling only cells with certain font colors

    Hello to the most helpful people on the internet

    I have attached a spreadsheet called sample and what I would like to do is have the table starting on row 16 to populate with only the red numbers in column F in the appropriate spot. So the $195 on cell F6 should populate in the table in cell B 17, B18, and B19 because it is listed as a category I (column H) and has the plans of satellite, challenger and pro. I would like to add and remove from this list, so the formula would have to be flexible so I can change some numbers from black to red and vice-versa.


    Can someone help me with a formula to do this?

    There no formula that will do that, it requires VBA. And even using VBA, changing the color of a cell will not trigger a calculation.

    Color is not data to Excel.

    ok thanks, what if I added a column next to the colored ones and add an X, would that help? Then a formula could total the lines that have an X in the column
