Conditional Formatting Formula IF or SUMIF

Hello, I am having an issue trying to do a simple formula under Conditional Formatting. I am trying either the IF or SUMIF formula and neither are working. Here is what I am trying to do. i have cell AH104 labeled Round Trip and cell AM104 labeled Total Miles. When the Round trip cells have a "Yes" in them, I need the miles in the Round Trip cells to be doubled. I tried this: =IF($AH$105="Yes",SUM($AM$105*2),"") but to no avail. I tried a SUMIF function also, but it also didn't work. I know this is a simple fix, but it has me stumped for some reason. Thank you in advance for any and all help!

Hello and welcome to the form

I suggest you add another column Labeled "Total mile" in say in AN104
Then you can use this formula

    In AN5

    Hi,

You can't use Conditional Formatting to CHANGE a value. Cond Formatting - as its name suggests is only for formatting i.e. changing colours, fonts etc.

Without a macro you'll need to use an additional cell
    e.g.
    =AM105*IF(AH104="YES",2,1)
