I want specific text to appear (a list) if specific items are picked in a drop down list.

I would greatly appreciate some guidance!

I have a drop down list which contains a dozen or more items (text). I would like it so that when one of the items is selected, information will pop up in another cell (or series of cells) that contain information related to that choice. For example, the list would contain: "Material A", "Material B", etc. If the user selects "Material A" from a drop down list in that cell, a list would appear elsewhere on the sheet with specific instructions related to "Material A".

How can I make this happen?

Thank you for your willingness to help FD! I have attached a simple example of what I'm trying to do. The drop down list would contain a list to select from. Once the user selects a specific item, a set of notes/instructions/guidelines would appear in another area with instructions specific to that selection. Does that make sense?

Dear mazan2010, the attachment is just an example. The content in the large area under the "Design Notes" would change depending on what the user selects in the drop down menu to the left. I'm trying to figure out a way to do this. The content changes based on selection. I would create the content elsewhere within the sheet, I'm just trying to figure out how to make this idea work is all. Thanks for your help!

Attached are some screenshots as well as the program setup in a way to help make what I want to do more clear. I'm not sure if what I want to do is something VLOOKUP can do, or if it will require macros. Looking for some guidance. Thanks
