Pasting data from OCR text subjected Adobe file; the dates seem to have transposed; this may represent a situation where changing the date format may affect the situation-the cells may have calibrated to the month/day/year format; can a poster conceive of a somewhat easy to rearrange the digits in the dates if indeed some sort of mirror flipping occurred?

Re: Pasting data from OCR text subjected Adobe file; the dates seem to have transposed; th

    Your question is rather vague.
You have not stated what has flipped - is it day/month? or year/day? something else?

Adapt this to suit your requirements
    The key is
    - nailing exactly what is currently happening to the date serial numbers
    - and deconstructing and re-constructing the date "pieces"

    Day/Month Flip

    - dates in Excel are integers (= date serial number)
    - each day has a different number March 4, 2017 = 42798
    - with Month/Day flip this becomes April 3, 2017 = 42828
    - DATE function is used below to calculate the correct date serial number
    - DATE function parameters =DATE("4 digit year","month number","day number")
    - formula below flips day and month

with the date in cell A2

I appreciate your help. I thought that I had at least intimated by the reference to the month/day/year format that the transposition had occurred from day/month/year. I will treat your response with gratitude.
