Counting cells of a certain colour and tvalue

I have a spreadsheet with a column that contains one of 4 types of devices. Once a device is given to a user, its color changes to green, and another column gets a value of 1 so that I can sum up the total number of devices distributed to date. However, I also want to be able to get a total of each device type distributed to date. I have been trying to use the COUNTIFS function but am missing something and keep getting a value of zero. the column with the device type in my example is E and again it is set to green once that device is distributed.

=COUNTIFS(E4:E190,"888",E4:E190,"green")

Here I am trying to total all the devices from row 4 to 190 that have a type of 888 and are green.

Any help would be appreciated.

How does it being colored?
Can you attach a sample file for the solvers.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Formulas do not recognize manually colored cells... you can upload a sample file for solvers to look at with.
