Question Need help to skip blanks in repeated list formula (index match)

    Hi Team,

Let me try to explain my situation as best I can

I have 4 people working on a worklist that gets split evenly across all people.

There are checkboxes on the worksheet working as an "Role Call" this simply writes the persons name that's ticked into Cell H1-H4

The first row (Row 3) picks up the first agent which is all well and good,

The second Row (row 4) is the formula that spreads the worklist evenly over all people who have been down H1-H4

Now this works perfectly, except if for example where if only Agent 1 and Agent 3 are ticked it'll only display the First person as if it finds a blank it reverts to previous name found.. How can I have it search through the list of 4 people?

    Hope that makes sense,

    Regards

    Welcome to the forum!

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook?

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

    Hi AliGW.

Thanks for your reply and the warm welcome.

I've attached a sample of what I'm trying to accomplish which should help get a better understanding.

If you go to the paste sheet and have two agents in consecutive rows there's no problem, but as soon as there's a blank it's not continuing the sequence

    Many thanks in advance

The uniformity of the sample is so consistent I am skeptical of this solution. All I can say is that it mimics the expected returns.
