I am trying to use solver to give me an optimum value......is anyone across it enough to have a look for me and see why i am not getting the results i expect

that is im setting a required Min value on a calculated cell and its not giving me the minimum value?

Without seeing you model it's difficult to tell why so upload a file with your solver model to get "specific" help.

If you are trying to find a min or a max value on an oscillating function solver will stop at the first value it finds so for a GRG -Nonlinear setup the solver result may differ depending on the starting point.

Then of course changing the value of "Variable cells" must change the value of the "Object cell"
