Remove parentheses from cell formatted in thousands when source cell is negative

Hi, I have a source input sheet and a report sheet. The source input sheet cell is formatted as dollars, but the report sheet is formatted in thousands.

My problem is when the source input cell is (258.20), it shouldn't be displayed at all on the report. Instead it's showing up as "()". I understand why it's doing it, so I'm thinking the formula needs to be changed?

I've attached a file with both the input spreadsheet and the report spreadsheet as an example.
