Hi
I am new to this forum so apologies if I've put this in the wrong place.
I have a spreadsheet which is basically a list of people in one column, 7 domains identified in the next 7 columns and then a number of courses they may have attended in the next few columns. Each person must meet 7 domains over 5 years. Each course allows an individual to meet a specific domain with the vast majority of courses covering more than one specified domain. I have these listed numerically in the cell under the course name. I need to be able to see how many domains have been met by each individual. I was trying to put a formula in the 7 domain columns that would react to a date put in against a specific course by checking whether that domain was included in that course. For example, if there were 5 courses put on and an individual attended 3 of them, one of which covered domain 2, one covered domains 4 and 5 and one covered domain 6. I want that information to be seen in the relevant column at the beginning of the spread sheet. I can identify the date, and then identify the correct domain to return a true value but I can't work out if there is a way to do this which will automatically check the entire row for each column, eg that where a date is put into H5, the domains listed for the course in H are also checked. The only way I can make it work is to do it manually.
I hope this makes sense - any help would be gratefully received.
