Incrementing Letter / Numbers / Letters in a single cell

Hi I am creating a speadsheet where I would like to increment the numbers simple by dragging the cells down. But the need is for cell content as follows (UK Car Registration Number) eg:

example: D1 ABC (in one cell and allow me to drag down to create D2 ABC, D3 ABC etc.

also:

example ABC 1D (in one cell and allow me to drag down to create ABC 2D, ABC 3D etc.

Note there is a space in the cell contents this is quite important to keep if possible.

I can achieve the simple examples of 1, 2, 3, 4 and D1, D2, D3 but not when is if suffix with letter.

Hi Thank you Keebellah fro you quick response, the formula allows me to create example

ABC D1, ABC D2, ABC D3 but does not seem to adjust to allow ABC 1D, ABC 2D, ABC 3D

Can I adjust the formula to assist that.
