Function to automatically filter data based on analysis

    Hi,

I have a question around how to filter out specific data and place them in their own worksheet. I have attached an Excel Spreadsheet. As you can see I have different dates and different analysis per day. I would like to automatically filter out a specific parameter into a different worksheet. For example, the following sheet (Sheet 2) would contain only Turbidity data for the different dates. And the next tab would contain TOC data for the different dates. And so on. At the moment, I am filtering the first worksheet and then copying the data across manually which takes time. Just wondered if there was an easier way.

    Many thanks.

    Look attach file.
As per your "Data" sheet, i have prepare another data sheets.
In another all sheets in "K1" mentioned criteria Analysis name.
I have using index / small / row formula. Look sheet name "Turbidity" / "TOC" / "Alkalinity". Other sheet remain as blank.
You can do only copy data suppose from sheet name "Turbidity" (range from "A1" To "E7" copy) and paste to another sheets.
Try in "DOC" / "FE" / "MN" / "PH"
    file attach.

Re: Function to automatically filter data based on analysis

Thanks a lot for this. It works really well.

I have to plot some of the data points on a graph based on dates and for some graphs the dates appear as they should and for others they do not and the data points are all skewed towards the 1900s. I have read that this is because Excel logs it as a number (1,2,3 and so on). I have looked at the formatting of the dates and it appears correct but the graph still reads wrong. Can someone explain how to correct this? Any advice on what I can do? I have attached the sheet FYI.

    Thanks.
