    Unhappy Entering data in one cell and having adjacent cell automatically enter current date

    Please help!

    I am trying to have cells in F cells automatically have the days date entered in them while entering data in cells E. Please help. I have Microsoft Excel for Mac 2015 version 15.13.1

    I have read that I need to use Visual Basic? But when I use it it doesn't allow me to enter any data..weird?

    I am afraid I do not have access to a Mac

    If it were a PC I would say Right Click on the sheet name at the bottom of excel and select view code

    A macro module will open.

    Paste this code in the module and close it.

    Hello! Thank you so much for your help. I am able to open a macro module but I am unable to enter any data as it is just a white screen. I am attaching a image of wha opens.. thank you again for your time!

    Try double clicking or right clicking on where it says Sheet1 (Sheet1)

    It looks like that is where the module will open

    just use a formula to do the same thing if you can't get VBA to work. I use a Mac and it works fine. Anyway a formula will also work

    Sorry Guys

    The formula solution does not work.

    The date will change each time the worksheet is calculated.

    You will need to copy paste special values
