Count the word refrence for each date column

I need help to find the formula on this attached file. The formula will be input in cell E6:I6. I need to count the number of times the status in column A shows up as "Damaged" for a card as I calculate on each date. However the status of the card can change as shown in the attached file. On the 24 may there is one damaged card. On the 25 may badge 2 has changed status to damaged. Expected results as shown on the attached file should be on the 24 may remain as 1 damaged card and on the 25 may it should show up as 2 damaged cards. Would really appreciate if i can get some help on this.

Can you not modify your template as shown below? Otherwise, you would need a macro to accomplish this.

The report is a badge inventory. I will need to scan in the badge numbers which is the result of the output as the date. Would you be able to assist with the macro?
