Re: NxEDATE formula why not work

I suspect NxEDATE is a user defined function (VBA). It is not an Excel function. Without seeing what you found on the net I can't know what it is supposed to do.

Please indicate what you want this function to do. Show us 10-20 rows of correct output hand typed in and explain why those answers are the correct ones and what the data in column C is supposed to do. Perhaps what you want can be done with regular Excel functions.

just need simple way to add any number with indication for it as day or month or quarter or year to the date in column b
mean if i need to add date only will use same formula but when i enter data on column C write ( d as day, or q for quarter and soon)

I don't believe simple is going to happen.
With regular Excel functions it requires cleaning and standardization steps.

Perhaps there is a simpler way than this.

In columns K:L I made a consistent list of what are days, months, weeks ....
Referencing that in column D this returns those "standards".

Column E returns the numeric values from column C.

Then in column F this uses brute force to choose the appropriate formula(s).

    Format for date.
