I have a slicer that references a YearQuarter (2017 Q3).
Based on what slicer says (and it change change), I need a formula to know two things:
1. What is the Next YearQuarter?
Current Year | Quarter is 2017 Q3, I'd want it to read 2017 Q4
2. Based on the CurrentYear Quarter that we're in, what were the prior YearQuarters within the same year?
If the Current YearQuarter is 2016 Q3, I'd want it to read 2016 Q3, 2016 Q2, and 2016 Q1.
Any ideas?

Attach a sample workbook (not image). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

I took it out for the purpose of the excel shareable. But it's a drop down pick list highlighted in blue?

It won't be a drop down list in the actual sheet, it will be a slicer. Based on the slicer from using PowerPivot Year | Quarter, I'd need a formula to know what the next quarter would be.
So create example with all data, all structure, slicer(s) and show it BEFORE and AFTER
