Reformat dates from text to mm/dd/yy?

Hi everyone

So the following screenshot shows a date column.

Does anyone know how to split the actual dates and the text that follows? Problem is further down column N the dates entered are not consistent (e.g. Feb 21/1983, 2010-03-21, October 21, 2011, etc). Is it possible to reformat the dates to be for example 03/14/01? I don't mind manually re-entering the data to be the correct format, but I wanted to see what you guys thought first. Thank you.

Go to Format (under HOME tab) then Format Cells. Select DATE then find your preferred format. If it's not there you can make a custom Date format (may want to look up or see help screens for more info. Once you have your desired format, you can copy the format down the whole range (OR select the Entire Column and format as DATE as described above
