Linking specific data between two sheets in one doc. Can the link be frozen?

We are creating a small database of sorts and want to create a hyper link on one sheet's cell so that when you click on it it brings you to another sheet with corresponding data. The catch is that these sheets need to be constantly updated as we add new vendors etc. So the data in sheet 2 that you were sourcing for the hyper link on sheet 1 might move down three rows b/c we added new vendors above. So is there any way to hyperlink but to the data NOT to the specific cell? Thx

Yes, you can use the HYPERLINK function and include a MATCH term in there to locate the row that you want to move to.

Attach a sample Excel workbook so we can give you the specific formula to use.

To do this, click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while you are composing a reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and then on Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.

Please note that the Paperclip icon (Attachments button) does not work.
