Using VLOOKUP to return multiple vlaues and total them

How do I return multiple values using a function (VLOOKUP?)

    For Instance:

    BOOK 50
    BOOK 45
    BIKE 10
    SHOE 13

How do I look up BOOK and return 95 instead of just 50...
