    Formula? Taking totals from lists

    I have a current list of x30 Clients that have been numbered 1 to 30.
    Each day of a month is allocated one of the client reference number and a total spend value.
    Each month will only have a maximum of 6 different clients listed in any one month. I want to see the monthly total spend of up to 6 clients.
    What formula would be the best to use? - See attachment example.

    How can anyone suggest you "which formula is required" without any data?
    Attach a sample sheet, this task needs the combination of formulas instead, any single formula.
    To attach worksheet Go advanced -> Manage attachments -> Choose file -> Upload
    Don't forget to Mention your desired result in the sheet..
    There should be sample data only, a lot of data creates confusion.

    This is a job for a pivot table. I have created one for you, see attached. Note that all of the "Type" values in your table must be the same; you have "Ongoing " with a space which is different than "Ongoing", so I removed the extra space.
