How to count unique values based on criterion in another column?

Hi -

I've seen a bunch of questions along this line but none of the answers do quite what I need to.

I need two things, in the attached file.

First:

I need a formula that counts the unique results in column B ("Title") based on the reference in column A ("Code"). I actually know the answers already, but need a formula that will get me the results in column E.

Second:

What is a formula I could use to list the unique values in column B ("Title").

I know I could use a pivot table, but I hate pivot tables, as does my CPU for some reason.
