    Forecast

Hi, I have the following years and dates where my company's sales were 100%. I want to forecast the date/ month/ year when my sales will be 100%. Can someone help me what formula to use to forecast please. I want to forecast for years between 2018-2021. Thank you

    Re: Forecast

I do not do business finance or forecasting or anything like that. It seems to me, though, that a lot of forecasting is pattern or trend recognition. Here are the trends I see in a quick perusal of your sample data:
    1) Sales are increasing with time (there are a lot more 100% days in 2017 than in 1990)
    2) There seems to be more sales in the summer (more of the 100% days are in summer months than other months).
What patterns do you see in your data?

From those general patterns, I don't see much hope for stating "I expect to have 100% sales on 4 May 2020" or anything like that (at least, not without a lot more data a lot more sophisticated analysis).

    Re: Forecast

Thakn you i understood you want both dependant and independant variables. I thought one was suffiecient for this case.. I know trend and forecast function when two variables are available.
