determining if a number fits within a given range and providing and output

Sorry it appears I am a novice to the power of excel.

What I am trying to do is determine if a $ value falls within a range and if it does output that $ amount. The problem is that I have three ranges.
Basically we have a tiered incentive plan so the first tier is 101% to 125% we would pay 8%, then from 126% to 150% we would pay 9% and above 151% we would pay 10%. My problem is breaking it down so that we pay the correct amount as the % increases. For instance if a salesperson was at 135% we would only pay the 8% up to the 125% level then the rest would be paid at the 9% level.

Confused.

First you mention if the value falls within a DOLLAR range ... then you proceed to describe PERCENTAGE ranges (101% - 125%, etc.).

What are the dollar amount ranges ?
